Enthalpy question
« on: July 18, 2016, 05:06:23 AM »
If we have a solid compound and solvent and we solve the solid compound, what change in enthalpy it would be for this process(assuming no heat change), do to p*V part from the enthalpy equation definition?

Thanks for answer.

Question:

When you say "no heat change" do you mean the system is at constant temperature?

Yes. And change in temperature due to solvatisation is ignored.

At the bottom, solvation is discussed. Does this help?
