Oxidative Degradation of Morpholinone
« on: March 30, 2011, 08:12:52 AM »
Hey guys,

I have a problem. I have been trying to figure out how the oxidative degradation of the morpholinone group (image attached) occurs. I thought for oxidative degradation to occur we had to have a aromatic ring so the free radicals can resonate? But i think this is where i am going wrong. I would be very appreciative of you of your help on this problem.
Sorry if this is not clear, im not too sure of how else to word it :(.
Thank you in advance :)
