actually there were 4 choices, but I can remember only 3

They asked about common properties for sulfur and phosphorus. I can't remembered they asked which one is correct or false
1. Both have allotrope
2. Both react with water to form basic solution
3. Both oxides are solid at ambient temp

For 1, it's correct
For 2 - Both doesn't react with water. --> so the choice is false
For 3 - I don't know what is ambient temp, but P4O10 is solid. I'm not sure for oxide of sulfur (SO,SO2,SO3) but I think they are all gases. ---> so the choice is false

Am I correct?

Ambient temperature means more or less the same as a room temperature.
