Which statement is correct about cellulose and amylose?

(1/2) > >>

cloudy1290:
Choice A : Cellulose is more stable than Amylose

Choice B : Amylose is more stable than cellulose

Choice C : Cellulose have helical structure while amylose does not

Choice D : Amylose have helical structure while cellulose does not

I searched on google for "helical structure" and found only "alpha helix". So I don't have any idea

but guessing from choices it must be A or B. But I don't know which one is more stable

Babcock_Hall:
Did you Google amylose?  BTW the question is a little open-ended.  It might help to define what one means by stability.

I'm not sure what stable means. I just remembered from a test. But I think there wasn't description for stable.

Yes, I searched for both amylose and cellulose. But found only cellulose's stability compared with its 1-4 type or something http://www1.lsbu.ac.uk/water/cellulose.html
