ChemBlogs is live to the internet public
« on: August 15, 2006, 01:38:58 AM »
First, thanks to all the beta testers that helped trouble shoot the ChemBlogs software package for me. So if you haven't already registered an account at www.chemblogs.org go do it and blog away. We already have over 30 blogs there and more are always welcome. If you encounter a bug post it in the ChemBlogs forum. I'll start writing useful tips at my blog there http://administration.chemblogs.org

Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
3. Forum Supports LaTex

I think the chemicalforums is a great brand to add to chemblogs.org

Ideally, chemblogs should share the same 'look'.
"Say you're in a [chemical] plant and there's a snake on the floor. What are you going to do? Call a consultant? Get a meeting together to talk about which color is the snake? Employees should do one thing: walk over there and you step on the friggin snake." - Jean-Pierre Garnier, CEO of Glaxosmithkline, June 2006

I was thinking that too and played with the template, but it didn't look as good. The Chemical Forums empire is spreading...

What will be next? No body knows.

Same soft, same look. Undoubtedly you were first. Looks like there will be tough competition.

Is there any way to import an already existing blog?

And is there a way to upload a new template? Otherwise, may Equi's technique do the trick?  ???
