How many hydrogen bond can carboxylic acid form per molecule? It has one hydrogen(acceptor) and 4 lone pair. So should the number of hydrogen bond be one? But I check the web and most claim to be 2 instead.

Both kinds of hydrogen bonds count, whether they are made with an H or a lone pair.
