Creating an oxide compound with Cu(II)
« on: August 06, 2019, 07:22:08 AM »
Hey guys, so I'm a third year chemistry student and need to make an oxide compound with Cu(II). Any fellow chemists out here have any methods to do it/tips to prevent it from oxidizing to the 3+ oxidation state? I'd really appreciate it.

Why do you think copper easily gets oxidized to +3?
