COH4 disolved in water

want to make sure i have this right. Question is write the formula of the ions that are present if any when the following are disolved in water.  COH4 not sure if i'm thinking about this correctly.  all I can come up wiht is H+ and HCO3- but the euation doesn't seem to balance.  Is there a polyatomic ion i'm missing? Thanks for the help.

What COH4 should be. Do you mean CH3OH Methanol.. This dissolves in water like water itselff. Some hydrogen bridges are built.

From a further context, one can suppose rather that it is CO2 dissolved in water, i.e. carbonic acid.
