Hello
I was given this reaction: SO3 + H2O ---> H2SO4
The exercise gave me five possibilites:
SO3 and H2O are, respectively,
a) Lewis acid and Lewis base <------- this is the correct answer
b) Brönsted acid and Brönsted base
c) Lewis acid and Brönsted base
d) Lewis base and Lewis acid
e) Lewis base and Brönsted acid
Could you guys give me a hint here? I tried writing as ions, but it didn't work out.
I tried doing this: SO3 + H+ + OH- -----> 2H+ + SO42-, but, well, this doesn't lead me anywhere.
