Are potassium chloride and chlorate the same?

(1/1)

Ch0c0lat3M1lk:
I want to do this exploding gummy bear experiment and can't get potassium chlorate for it. I found potassium chloride though. I was wondering if they are the same, if there are any differences, or if using potassium chloride will still work. I tried to do it myself by researching to not get any exact answers but I think they are different but I don't know if the gummy bear will still explode.

Have you looked up the differences using WIKI
