« on: November 03, 2019, 12:25:32 PM »
What reactions can be made with beetroot juice?
Is it possible to extract sugar from ordinary beets?

In general, the juice consists mainly of water. No problem to react with her. But there are very few other components, because I do not know what reactions can be carried out with them so that the result is visible. One beet contains about 5 grams of sugar. I think I can try to react with him. However, I do not know how best to extract it and is it possible at all. No problem to react with her. How sugar is made from beet roots in sugar factories. Nothing new can hardly be invented.

One place to start is WIKI
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sugar_beet
it says

The root of the beet contains 75% water, about 20% sugar, and 5% pulp.
Also you can GOOGLE
