Organic Chemistry Doping Factors
« on: November 17, 2019, 02:19:28 AM »
Hi,

I currently need to investigate the control parameters that are involved with doping an organic material for long persistent luminescence and I can't seem to find anything on whether the method of recrystallisation and the amount of dopant added would affect the desired product.

I am currently using double-layered diffusion and I am interested in finding out whether a faster or slower method of recrystallisation would be more effective for trapping dopant within the structure of the organic molecule? As well as the amount of dopant added (currently using a 1:10 n ratio) 1 being the organic molecule and 10 being the dopant.

Any help/ links to papers would be very much appreciated.

- Thank you !

Usually fast recrystallization will have more adventitious impurities.

Hi Hollytara,

I did believe this to be true myself but couldn't find anything to back that up. Do you know of any links at all?

Thanks for posting!
