Double bonds will be attacked easier as the hydroxyl group. So a will occur., but also possible would be the chlorine add as Markovnikov product.

Hi!!

Why will the double bond protonation be easier?

- with double bond protonation (electrophilic addition)I'll get a carbocation

-with -OH protonation  I'll get a charged oxygen but with the octect full

So why  is the double bond C=C easier than the hydroxyl group one?!
Thaanks!!
