I came across this question while revising for an exam.
How do we name the acid H2S.
I tried to name it but I think that I am wrong.

Tell us your idea.
My idea doesn’t work in English. It isn’t my first language and the names of the chemicals differ.
I was wondering wether we include the 2 when naming the acid.
Thanks for your help.

Chemistry is international, what is your suggestion?
Start with the H and end with the S and add the word acid.
HCl for example is hydrochloric acid?

Hyrdosulfiricacid. Do we just ignore the 2 in the formula?

Put any correct name into Wikipedia and change the language. Usually, you will get IUPAC and some synonyms names in this language, eg Russian - Сероводоро́д (серни́стый водоро́д, сульфи́д водоро́да, дигидросульфи́д)
You can also use
https://www.thefreedictionary.com/hydrogen+sulfide
- you can translate names between six or more languages, eg German - Schwefelwasserstoff and from Wikipedia additionally - Wasserstoffsulfid, Dihydrogensulfid.
Chinese (Mandarin) - 硫化氫
