ACS Exam
« on: December 14, 2019, 03:04:03 AM »
Hello all, I joined this forum as I was unable to find an answer to my question anywhere.

I’m currently in the class “introduction to chemistry”. Our final coming up soon is going to be an ACS exam. My question is, what ACS exam is used for an introductory level chemistry class? All I’m able to find is information on is general chemistry level exams.

Also, our professor stated that the exam is broken down as follows; 20 general mathematics questions, 20 general chemistry, 20 specific chemistry. Does anyone know what an example of a general mathematics question would be?

I’ve been studying, but I’d like to know if I’m steering my efforts in the right direction. So, if anyone is familiar with ACS exams and willing to take the time to respond, I’d greatly appreciate the information.

General math says to me that it's pre calculus type material.

I don't remember that being in my ACS exams (over a decade ago). Seems kind of silly to me, they can build those skills into chemistry related questions.
