Citric Acid and Tridosium Citrate

(1/1)

zenorin:
Hello, I have been researching citric acid and trisodium citrate for a school project. I have read that these two compounds can act as a buffering agent in foods. I was wondering if someone could show me a reaction that would show how the buffer would neutralize an acid or a base. I'm looking for really any kind of chemical reaction to work with.

Thanks.

Borek:
In general all chemical buffers work the same way, plenty of easy to google explanations on the web.
