CHromophores
« on: January 12, 2020, 06:07:59 PM »
Will someone please describe chromophores in detail?

Biochrome and structural color are the two most broad roads which both seem to ultimately arrive at chromophores.
I want to be able to describe what and why I am seeing a color.

No. Nobody is going to write you a monograph. That's not what this forum is for.
What research of your own have you done? I was not familiar with the terms "biochrome" and "structural color" until I googled them just now, and now I have some idea. Why not read a few articles, and come back if you have any specific questions?

(Note: if you really want to know "why i am seeing a color", that is not just a matter of chromophores, but involves the physiology of the eye and the psychology of the brain. But that might not be what you are really after.)
