Making Hydrochloric acid
« on: January 31, 2020, 01:18:09 AM »
So I've separated chlorine from table salt and hydrogen from water by doing electrolysis on brine (salt water).

How can I produce hydrochloric acid? Should I just mix both and ta-ra?

You have to burn hydrogen in the chlorine atmosphere.
If you mix it normal light can ignite it and....bomm.  Don't do that!!!!!!!!!!!

So I should build like a little, hydrogen lamp and have the flame slowly burn inside a container (one that wont dissolve once the acid begins to pour of course) full of chlorine gas?
