In industry, phenol and acetone (2-propanone) are synthesized from benzene and
propylene (propene) by the cumene process. How many kg of phenol and acetone
(2-propanone) are synthesized, respectively, from 39 kg of benzene?

Key answer : phenol 47 g, acetone 29 g

Any hints anyone? I am confused

Start with a balanced chemical reaction.

Does it matter? You just need a balanced equation between the starting materials and finished products. If you don't know, you can find this by googling the cumene process. After you have a balanced chemical equation, it's just a straightforward stoichiometry problem.

(Also, check your units. You are mixing kg with g.)
