state the contents of a tank of ammonia gas which is left to stand in a hot spot for a few days. give a reason for your answer. please suggest an answer. my students dont agree with my answer.. the answer i gave dissociation of the gas to nitrogen and hydrogen. they say impossible. since ammonia is formed under high pressure and temperature of 500

Decomposition and formation of ammonia are equilibrium reactions, hence at each conditions some amouns of free nitrogen and hydrogen can exist but only at high temperature decomposition will be the important process.
