« on: September 07, 2006, 09:14:32 PM »
From the most prominent allotrope of the follinwg elements which is the most stable for each element?
Carbon
Phosphorus

Stability depends on temperature and pressure. Diamond , when formed is the most stable at that conditions but at RT and 1 atm the most stable is graphite. We can prove this by combustion of both allotropes.
