Separation technology
« on: April 10, 2020, 02:38:27 AM »
Hello everyone, we are supposed to design (revamping case) a process for the separation of polymer mixtures. Two of the components (out of many) have the same boiling point. The only difference between the two components is the acentric factor.
The current process is operated successfully and for the revamp, we are required to generate a new H&M balance. It seems like we need to re-adjust the acentric factor to generate H&M balance table. How wise would be the decision?
(Note: PRO/II and Aspen plus are the simulation tools and one of the two components are not in the data-base)
