Dilute 12% to 1%
« on: April 29, 2020, 06:56:41 PM »
I have one ounce of 12% H2O2. I want 1% H2O2.

How many ounces of distilled water would be added to one oz. of 12% H2O2 to achieve a 1% concentration?

TIA!

Thanks. I think I have it now.

12% H2O2      Water          1% H202
   1 part           11 parts           12 parts

Thanks

For future reference, you can use c1V1 = c2V2 to solve dilution problems. Note that the formula uses molar concentration (M), not mass concentration (%).
