Eletro-Chem Redox Equation
« on: May 10, 2020, 03:32:55 PM »
Hey, everyone, I'm finishing a chemistry assignment when I came across two questions. I need to predict if the reaction is spontaneous or not, and determine the redox equation. The reactions are, Acidified KMnO4(aq)  and FeSO4(aq), and Unacidified KNO3(aq) and Zn(s). I'm completely stumped by the Acidified part, I've looked online but can't find any resources. If someone could please point in the right direction that would amazing. Thank You!

As long as we are talking about just comparing standard potentials all that the "acidified" part tells you is what the MnO4- gets reduced to.
