Rigid micrometer-scale fillers
« on: June 02, 2020, 04:26:01 PM »
I have a question for you guys please help me.
If you add rigid micrometer-scale fillers to a polymer, what do you expect for its strength and toughness? Why?

---
I figured out that rigid micrometer-scale fillers to a polymer often increases its strength but decreases the toughness. But I could not understand and find why...
