I need help with this monstrosity

In lieu of a final exam, you are going to be completing a series of Course Culminating Tasks. These Tasks will include knowledge learned from numerous sections of the course material. Typically the question will start with the alphabet – periodic table, move to words - nomenclature, move to sentences – chemical reactions/equations and finally into stories – stoichiometry. For subsequent Tasks, the story may deal with solutions, gases or organic (grade 12’s only).
The following “story” contains multiple questions throughout. These questions will be identified at the appropriate time for completion purposed in terms of the flow of the scenario. Marks for each question will also be shown.
A metal found in group 11, period 4 is allowed to react with a diatomic gas found in group 16, period 2 to produce a compound of the lower charge of the metal. Determine all of the chemicals, and create a balanced chemical equation for this reaction, stating the type of reaction you believe it to be. (4 marks)
A second metal in group 1, period 3 reacts with a second diatomic gas found in group 17, period 3, producing a second compound. Determine all of the chemicals, and create a balanced chemical equation for this reaction, stating the type of reaction you believe it to be. (4 marks)
The compounds are dissolved in water to create solutions of each. The solutions are then mixed together in one beaker. For this reaction, create a balanced chemical equation, total ionic equation and net ionic equation. (6 marks)
You are asked to create a solution of the product from reaction 1 from solid. If the solution is to have a final volume of 250.0 mL and concentration of 0.150 mol/L, what mass of solid will you need? State the steps necessary to create this solution. (10 marks)
If the above solution is mixed with excess of the solution from the second reaction, what mass of the solid produced will be theoretically formed (5 marks)
If you conducted this reaction in a lab setting and actually collected 2.97 g of solid, what is the
