Acid Protection
« on: June 15, 2020, 12:37:25 AM »
Whenever I search in litterature for a coupling reaction I often find that the carboxylic acid is being protected and I am curious if there are any particular reasoning behind this?
I've tried searching the litterature but I am having trouble finding any useful answers.

What type of "coupling reaction" do you mean?
