What should a chemist should learn in the university ?
i'm currentlly studing a chemistry deggre. I relized that universitiy is a place to learn, but success depends on
the student, and the most important part of studing occurs out of class.
i don't fully understend what a chemist does, there are just basics answers saying "...a chemest study the
composition of matter and the properties involved in its interaction..." i got that.
The cuestions are.
How does a chemist resarch?
Which are the tools they use?
What should we focus while we are studing this career?
What does a chemist needs to be out there doing chemestry?
Which are the abilities that we as students must develop to be the best chemist that we can be?
Besides Theory (that is the knowledge a graduate of chemistry acquire, ...i guess), What we should be learning?, codeing?, math programing ?
How does a student goes form the university to a real lab to do science?.
I would like to know the opinion of students like me, more advanced students, or graduates, who have a clearer
idea of how to develop this career, and the skills needed to be a good chemist. Thanks!
