Silicon to leather

(1/1)

Ava:
Hello,

Please, help.

How I can glue silicon to leather temporarily so I can remove when needed and stick back when needed. Glue shall not to gather dust and get dirty.

Thanks

Welcome, Ava!

The glue easiest to un-glue is hide glue, which is applied and removed hot

The difficulty with your materials is that glues don't adhere to siliconE (I suppose, the rubber, not the semi-metal silicon). You need a surface tratment (a primer) on silicone before glueing, or the glue will fail will certainty. I don't know that from memory, so you must search primers to glue silicone. Primers meant for different glues like acrylic or epoxy have reasonable chances to work for hide glue.
