Determining Acidity of Aromatic and Non-aromatic compounds?

(1/1)

AussieKenDoll:
Does conjugation in aromatic molecule makes a the molecule more acidic or less acidic compared to its related non-aromatic compound?
As a example take the compounds below

rolnor:
What do you think?

AussieKenDoll:
As the acidity increases when the charge on the conjugate base can be delocalized over two or more atoms through resonance, so the aromatic molecule is more acidic?

rolnor:
Yes, here you se the resonance structures; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phenol

hollytara:
And think abut basicity of cyclohaxanamine and aniline....
