I’m currently taking freshman chemistry in uni rn and one of my homework questions is
1. what do you wish to have be available in the future?
2. why do you want to have this available? what benefit will it have to you, others, and/or society in general?
3. Where/How will chemistry fit into bringing the future something into play?

I am honestly not sure what chemists are missing now a days. My professor said that back when he worked in labs, he wished there was a database of where you could easily access chemistry information at the top of your fingers. So it doesn’t necessarily have to be something complicated.
I’ve been thinking about the question for a while (and did some light research) and haven’t been able to come up with an answer. So for those who are working in the chem field, what is something you wish to have available that’ll make your jobs easier?

Maybe the question isn't "benefit to chemists" but rather "benefit to the society".

In 2020, anything that combats Covid is useful.
