Natural Gas Burner Simulation Model by using Aspen Hysys
« on: January 13, 2020, 10:46:38 PM »
Hello Friends,

My name is Bo Bo and I am a new user to this forum. I would like to ask a question about how to do the process modeling for natural gas (mainly methane) burner by using Aspen Hysys software.
With this simulation, I would like to check the following things, in order to design the Water Bath Heater for heating natural gas.
- flame temperature
- flue gas properties and mass flowrate
- combustion efficiency
- emission rate of CO, NOx, SOx
I would be very grateful if anyone can advise me.
Thank you!

Welcome, soebobolatt!

I don't fully grasp what a simulation shall bring to you, except inaccuracies, mistakes and hopefully doubts.

The combustion of natural gas is perfectly known and studied, you'll find all data in publications, and these are somewhat reliable for not resulting from software.

Hi how can we make the top gas temperature stay normal levels without using these kind of burners?
