Calcium Sterate
« on: September 09, 2020, 12:19:51 AM »
Hello,

This is an usual question, I have a hot tub ... That is potentially having issues with PVC tubbing apparently manufacturer have used to much lubricant which is now contaminating water.

I found two solution one is to lower pH to 4.00 for 24 hrs and flush the tub.

Second use Jet dishwasher detergent.

Can this works ?, any suggestions how to eradicate the problem.

I know there lots of smart people here..

Thank you

Hi Guys,

I need to eliminate calcium stearate from a hot tub....
After googling for hours I found instructions advising to use white vinegear and drop pH to 4.0 for couple days

As well I found some info about using Citric Acid and lowering pH to 6 for 3-5 days that should brake it down.

One of the pool sites said to run Finish Jet Dry agent ?

Any suggestions

Thank you
