Solved: Can you spot my error(s) in this microstate table?
« on: September 16, 2020, 05:33:34 PM »
EDIT:  I found the errors.  Sorry I'm so ignorant, I don't know how to delete this post.

Here is my table:  https://imgur.com/a/lOe1gIf

There is one electron in the s orbital and two electrons in the p orbitals.  I calculate 30 microstates.  But I keep counting 32 microstates on my table.  I looked it over again and can't see where I went wrong.

I wonder if I have some redundant microstates and some missing microstates because I gather the table should be symmetric.  (?)  I don't see a way to take away 2 microstates and leave a symmetric table.

For instance, is 0-,1-,1+ the same microstate as 0-,1+,1- ?

Thank you so much.
