Text Editor or Software for Chemistry work
« on: October 01, 2020, 06:20:54 PM »
Does anyone know of some good software or text editors to do chemistry work on? I have disabilities in relation written expression that makes my handwriting hardly legible. This makes doing work with pen and paper impractical. As such I typically do homework on keyboard. Im currently using Google docs as it has easy hotkeys for subscript and hyper script, however, I'm curious if there are better methods.

If you are willing to put in the time, you can use LaTeX with TeXStudio. There is a learning curve, but your assignments will look slick once you get used to it. Otherwise Microsoft Word has a pretty extensive equation function which works well for chemical equations as well, but I would go with the former any day.
