Base-catalyzed Crossed aldol condensation reaction
« on: November 04, 2020, 06:05:58 PM »
Hello everyone,
My instructor asks us to to be able to apply the mechanism to a reaction where the molecular ratio is not 1:1. I don't quite understand what is meant by 1:1. Can someone explain please? The experiment that I will be doing is a base-catalyzed crossed aldol condensation reaction.

I wonder whether or not this is just another term for stoichiometric ratio.  I am not sure, however.
