Solid Copper Wire Oxidized By Cinnamic Acid

I have a solid copper wire with a protective polyester mesh. The formation of CU(II) cinnamate reaction use copper carbonate.  Question? In light of limited reaction - How can one measure reactivity of Solid copper and Cinnamic Acid?

I was outside, sorry!

I have a solid copper wire with a polyester mesh covering the solid copper wire. I am trying to create a formula for the polyester cinnamic reaction or the a reaction between the copper cinnamic acid.

I was looking at polyester fibers and chemistry and got a lot of information. Copper does react with an acidic acid, I have had lots of problems trying to prove how either of these reactions makes any sense from a chemical engineering or bonding perspective. Thanks everybody for glimpsing over this topic!
