Mechanism for oxidation of methyl benzene to form aldehyde
« on: November 30, 2020, 12:57:36 AM »
I recently came across a reaction where you react Toluene with CrO3 and acetyl group to from aldehyde. I can't get the mechanism right and I can't find it online. Can anyone help?

It is a forum rule that you must show your attempt before we can help you.  What is your application?  What do you mean by "acetyl group?"
