Does Zinc Oxide powder offer skin whitening properties while using in skincare products? Is this correct?

Zinc oxide is white so if you apply this to the skin gets white.

Whitening of the skin and painting the skin white are two different things.

True, I know that zinc oxide is a part of sun-block products so I dont think it really bleaches skin but rather forms a white coating.
