Chemical Energy
« on: January 26, 2021, 05:15:01 PM »
I am given 2CH3OH(l) + 3O2(g) :rarrow: 2CO2 (g) + 4H2O(l) and asked what mass of water could be heated from 20.0°C to 35.0°C by the burning of 2.57 mol of methanol? I am stuck and would really love a step by step. Thank you in advance!!

Please read the forum rules.

You have to show what you did so far. Have you checked enthalpy of combustion of methanol?
