Any recommendations for my Honors Principles of General Chemistry 2 project?

Must be about astrochemistry/astrobiology or carbon sequestration.
Because I am an EE, I looked into my EE textbooks and found chemistry related stuff I could do a project on, but the professor said no. Any EE sort of ideas? I like mv calc, diff eq., physics, digital logic, c programming, vehicles/air/spacecraft/medical technology.

How spectroscopy is utilized to analyse distant atmospheres? Not sure.
