Phase Changes and Temp

A chip is burned beneath an aluminum container holding 28.7 g of water causing the temperature of the water to increase from 11.3 °C to 33.2 °C.  How many joules of heat were absorbed by the water?  Water’s specific heat is 4.18 J/gºC

That equation is one of the first equations you will see in your textbook's chapter on thermochemistry. Read it again.
