Can I use H NMR assignments to make C NMR assignments?
« on: March 06, 2021, 06:27:09 PM »
So I easily made all my H NMR assignments from the COSY and NOESY I took. I didnt do any 2D NMR for the C NMR, so what Im wondering is if I could match up the signals.

For instance, I know the lowest ppm of the H NMR matches with the carbon for the lowest ppm of the C NMR (the hydrogen from this lowest ppm is on the carbon that has the lowest ppm). Would the hydrogen with the second lowest ppm from H NMR be on the carbon from the C NMR with the second lowest signal?

Or does this method not work?
