Interaction between Cane Sugar and PET

Forgive me if this is the wrong forum, but does Cane Sugar attack PET? Wikipedia says Ketones will attack PET but I also know that PET is very common in soda bottles (I'm assuming both cane sugar based sodas and corn syrup based sodas).
