I'm still trying to grasp my acid-base chemcial reactions, but I still having trouble if the products I write out are correct or not. Is there a resource that will ask for the reactents and generate the products?

Acid-base reactions are always the same:
H
+
+ OH
-
H
2
O
Of course sometimes are exceptions:
H
+
+ NH
3
(aq)
[NH

Only in Arrhenius theory, long considered inadequate. What you call an exception is in Brønsted-Lowry theory just another case of acid-base reaction. Not to mention several other theories, even more general.
