BSA stock solution standards
« on: March 09, 2021, 11:29:24 AM »
Hi, new here, can someone please help me with this question?

-150 g/L of BSA stock solution is provided
- The linear range is 0-35 g/L
Create a range of standards using BSA provided. The volume of each standard required is 10 ml.

I'm given a table with 3 columns: Concentration of BSA (g/L), Stock BSA (ml), Water (ml) - and 7 rows to fill

It's a basic c1v1c2v2 question but I don't know what I'm looking for

My first step would be to propose seven concentrations covering the 0-35 g/L range.

Actually sounds like proposing eight would be better, but preparing seven will do the trick ;)

So is V1 what I have to find?

So 150 g/l would be C1, what would C2 and V2 be?

what would C2

That's the first step. You have to decide by yourself. You are told what range to cover, so you need to choose some points form that range. Preferable covering whole range more or less uniformly.

and V2 be?

That's defined in the instructions.
