Reaction mechanism of synthesis of bis(acetonide)

I want to write the reaction mechanism for the synthesis of bis(acetonide). In the experiment D-mannose reacting with acetone and FeCl3 to bis(acetonide). Could someone give me a hint on how to start with it?
