Quantum tunneling

Is this the correct representation for quantum tunneling? The region at the far right is where potential energy is zero. So since it is a stationary state there shouldn't be any energy decay and the curves must be uniform right? Why is like a damped oscillation

Can you give more information?  If discussing negative resistance, then there are many more parameters that are needed ( s type, n type for example ).  Then the circuit it is in is also needed so the equivalent resistance can be calculated.  This would be for a tunnel diode.  Is there something else you are looking at?
