Help with chemical reactions
« on: April 29, 2021, 02:23:55 AM »
Dears...
I have a problem and want to check with yall experts.

I have NaOH, Ag3PO4, and NaI all in water. i feel like this reacton can go both ways: forming AgI or AgOH. I first thought the reaction would go AgOH way because O is mre electron negative than I. Now I am thinking I also need to consider the Gibbs free energy.

Please help a fellow (physics) researcher... :D

I would start just by comparing Ksp values.
