Hi can anyone help I have a recipe I'm about to try involving Dimethyl Ether, Heptane, Methanol, Ethyl alcohol and water, I have two questions.
Dimethyl ether is water soluble but being a gas that evaporates quickly (as its boiling point is -24 celcius) will this no longer evaporate if its dissolved in water and the solution is exposed to air? the total solution will be about 70% water.
secondly I'm using a gas washing bottle to mix it into the water, will it make any difference in the order of mixing the Dimethyl ether, either with the water first or the other ingredients?
Thanks in advance
Sarah
